You'll need to prepare the batter at least two hours ahead of time.
 
Ingredients
1 Teaspoon - Vanilla Extract
18oz Box - Moist Cake Mix  (Your Choice of Flavor)
8oz Block - Cream Cheese  (An 8oz Tub of Flavored Cream Cheese also works)
1 - Egg
1 Stick - Butter
 
Powdered Sugar  (For Dusting)
 
Equipment Needed
Electric Mixer - Hand or Stand (It doesn't matter)
Cookie Sheet(s)
Parchment Paper
Oven
Small Bowl - To Roll the Batter Balls in the Powdered Sugar

Cake Cookies

Directions
  • Preparing the batter...
    • In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, cream the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
    • Beat in the egg then the vanilla extract.  
    • Beat in the cake mix.  
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours to firm up so that the batter can be rolled into balls later.
  • After two hours (or more)...
    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    • Roll the chilled batter into tablespoon-sized balls then roll them in the powdered sugar.
    • Place on parchment paper on a cookie sheet - 2 inches apart.
    • Bake for 12 minutes.
